The Phantom 800 is the only 8x8 DVI switcher with image processing. The Phantom 800 combines DVI switching, seamless switching, output scaling, and frame grabs into a single 2U unit.
The P800 scaling engine supports video wall mode for any array up to 2x4. Enhanced video wall features include mullion compensation, image overlap for edge blending, and configurable presets.
The Phantom 800's image processing is based on BDV's S-1 scaler cards. The Phantom 800 may be populated with up to 8 S-1 Cards, which allow any video source to be automatically displayed on any monitor at its maximal resolution and proper aspect ratio. These image processing cards also provide a number of attractive image-control features, including: contrast, brightness, programmable LUTS, pan, zoom, position, and frame-grab controls. With S- 1 cards, the Phantom 800 can perform frame freezes and grabs on up to 8 outputs. Frame grabs can be performed on any one output or on several simultaneously. They may also be previewed and archived to a network or control computer.
