XPS PRO1000 DVI Matrix Switch

The XPS PRO1000 is a non-blocking, 8x8 DVI matrix switch. When combined with Black Diamond Video’s
DVI CONVERTERS, the XPS PRO1000 provides the same level of matrix switching for any combination of analog or SDI video sources.

The XPS PRO1000 8x8 DVI matrix switch supports single-link DVI operation at the maximum TMDS rate of 1.65 Gb/s, with input and output resolutions from 640x480 to 1920x1200. When coupled with Black Diamond Video’s phantom-powered DVI CONVERTERS, the XPS PRO1000 provides the same level of switching for analog, SDI or HD-SDI video sources, eliminating the need for mult-format switches and cables. When coupled with Black Diamond Video’s phantom-powered DVI Xtreme Cable Kits, the XPS PRO1000 transmits DVI signals over 60 meters through copper on both the input and output sides of the switch at the maximum TMDS rate of 1.65 Gb/s.

The XPS PRO1000 when combined with Black Diamond Video’s DVI CONVERTERS and DVI Xtreme Cable Kits creates a comprehensive, digital matrix switching solution for any analog or digital video source over a normalized DVI “Digital Backbone”. This architecture provides outstanding digital image quality since analog cabling problems are eliminated and ease of installation since only one type of cable and one switch is required. With a DVI “Digital Backbone” in place for switching and cabling, customers can use their analog or SDI sources today and upgrade to DVI in the future at their own pace.
